Who is responsible
Thomas Bernard, entrepreneur individuel (a French sole trader), runs Playlistation from France and is responsible for your data. Questions: dpo@playlistation.com. See also the legal notice and the terms.
Minimum age
You must be at least 15 to use Playlistation.
What we collect and why
- Your Spotify account: profile, email address, Liked Songs and playlists, sent by Spotify when you sign in. You sign in on Spotify’s own page: we never see your password, and you can remove our access at any time in Manage apps.
- What you create: your playlists, settings and library backups.
- Your subscription: your plan and payments. We never receive your card details.
- Technical data: sessions, usage measurements, error reports and protection against abuse. We use your IP address to show your country’s prices, and we do not store it. IP address data powered by IPinfo (CC BY-SA 4.0 licence).
This data lets us run your account, build your playlists, write to you, and protect and improve the service. Our legal grounds: the contract you accept, your consent (non-essential cookies, optional emails), our legitimate interest in running and protecting the service, and our legal obligations (invoices).
Optional emails
We email you about new Playlistation features, or send you a recap of your playlists, only if you asked for it. You can stop them at any time in Settings or with the link in each email. We keep your answer and its date while your account exists, so we can show what you chose.
Where it is stored
On a server rented from OVH SAS in Roubaix, France.
Who else receives data
We do not sell your data to anyone, and we show no ads. These providers process some of it for us. Transfers to the United States rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
- Spotify, the source of your music data. It is responsible for its own processing and is a third-party beneficiary of this policy: it may enforce it directly.
- Stripe, payments.
- Resend, email delivery.
- Featurebase, support chat, feedback and product updates.
- PostHog , usage statistics.
- Sentry, error reports.
- Cloudflare and OpenAI, AI features, without your name or email address.
Cookies and storage in your browser
Without asking you, we only use what the app and the website need to work, as the CNIL allows. Everything else needs your consent. We use no advertising trackers. You can change your mind at any time in the app’s settings, or with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page of the website.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. When you delete it, we erase your data and cancel your subscription. Invoices stay with Stripe, as accounting law requires.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or erase your data, restrict or object to how we use it, and withdraw a consent at any time. You delete your account yourself in the app. For anything else, write to dpo@playlistation.com from the email address of your Spotify account. You can also complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
